Grab your leash and strut your mutt at the Doggy Dash to raise funds for Granny Rose Animal Shelter. Pre-registration ends FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND to guarantee a shirt on race day.
You can continue to register up until race day. Your t-shirt will be available at the school at a later date.

The Polo Community School District has a vacancy on the Board of Education. We will be accepting applications from now until September 16th at 4:00pm. If you are interested in this position, the term is from September until April 2023. We can not accept applicants from Lincoln or Buffalo Township due to it would cause a majority on the Board of Education. The final new school family member at Centennial is new PreK teacher and Family Coordinator, Rose Beausoleil. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. She is originally from the Chicagoland area but has called the Sauk Valley home for 5 years! She lives in Polo with her three boys and their father. She enjoys gardening, reading, anything you would on a homestead, and she has a small soap making business!

Our next new Centennial School family member is PCHS alum Taylor Woodin. Taylor joins us as one of the Centennial secretaries in the front office. She lives in Polo with husband, Nathan,four sons - Maddex, Bryant, Cooper and new baby Asher, and their Great Dane Moose. She enjoys helping coach her boys in T-ball and baseball.


Our next new school family member at Centennial is Kendra Prebula. She joins us as a 1:1 aide for a student. Mrs. Prebula, her husband, and two daughters moved to Polo last spring and her daughters attend Centennial! She enjoys traveling, riding side-by-sides, and anything outdoors.


Centennial is excited to welcome four new staff members to our school family this year. We will highlight a staff member a day.
First up, is Jordann Fishman! The kiddos know her as Ms.Fish and she is the K-5 music and band teacher. She lives in Sterling with her fiancée, 8 year old daughter, and 2 cats. She loves theater and music. In fact, you can frequently see her perform in the Polo Area Community Theater productions!

Safety first! Our students learned about bus etiquette and how to evacuate the bus.



Today students learned the rules and expectations throughout the school. When your student comes home you may ask them about what they learned in Cool Tools. It’s shaping up to being a great year!





Breakfast and lunch start tomorrow! The Grab and Go (GG) and the Main Meal (MM) at Centennial Elementary will have the same sides for breakfast and lunch. The only difference is the entree. The cost will be the same: Breakfast $1.50 and Lunch $2.50. It will be available for K-5 students.
